Independent Living Skills Training

 

            Education and training in the advanced skills necessary to live independently are provided.   

These skills include:  

    Money management

    Utilization of transportation services and other community resources

    Management of home-care aides

    Self-advocacy

    The use of assistive technologies

 

            Staff provide information, training, and support based on the interests and needs of the person.  This is done with a one-on-one approach in the person’s home or their community.
