Community Advocate of the Year Award

 

            With this annual award named after the agency’s founding Director, Society’s Assets recognizes an individual for efforts on behalf of people with disabilities.  Award nominees must have been actively involved in self-advocacy or system advocacy over the previous year.  In the past, award recipients have addressed issues like:

 

    Accessibility

    Employment

    Housing

    Communication

 

Nomination forms are available from the main office in Racine and are due April 1^st.  Award recipients are honored during Disability Awareness Week in May.
