Pat’s Walk
Usually held in September, Pat’s Walk is a pledge and prize
event that raises money for the Society’s
Assets Transportation Fund .
This fund subsidizes social, recreational, and educational
outings coordinated for Society’s Assets consumers.
Without the support of the Transportation Fund, many
consumers would be unable to participate in special events outside
their homes.
Participants in Pat’s Walk register at no cost.
They walk or roll (use a wheelchair, scooter, or stroller).
Wheelchair pushers are available.
Pledges are encouraged and prizes are awarded based on the
amount of money raised. Participants
are treated to a Finish Line Party/Lunch.
The event is held in memory of Pat Anderson of Racine, a
woman committed to ensuring the rights of people with disabilities.
She was dedicated to making the community accessible for
everyone. Pat’s Walk
celebrates disability awareness and a future without barriers.
Contact the main office in Racine for more information or a
registration/pledge form, (262) 637-9128.
